Larian Gegar 2015 was held at University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and this is the first time ever they open a half marathon category. I took this oppoturnity to register and join their infamous Bukit Cinta hill challenge. The 21km runners are flagged off at 6am from the swimming complex...and NO im not wearing my swimming trunk. First few kilometres start with hills and more hills. Well, actually I could say most of it is either assending or decenting. Basically I ran 2 loop of the same route and our checkpoint is just a coloured sticker tagged. The traffic control is a bit poor but it seems acceptable it was held inside the University.
Overall, for me Bukit Cinta lives to its name..well sort off. The event area is just a small area but yet Im impressed they manage to pull it off. Love the finisher tshirt by compress sports which written ' I conquered bukit cinta' Thanks UM & organizers, very challenging hills and a good mental test. Sure recommend for those who want to challenge the Bukit Cinta elevation.
