EventBiz Charity Trail Run 2015 was held on 8th February 2015, suppose to starts on time but delayed for some reason that we don't know. Still the trail run starts off late after 'warming up session' by some uncle(maybe senior trail expert; i don't know) but that session was literary in ze dark! Organizers should have place some candles if they really can't afford a spotlight around assembly area. But the funny & shocking experience for me it starts when i went to collect the racekit at some temple/tokong and there were table and few aunties & uncles assigned to handover our racekit(just bib actually,no timing chip). The auntie even ask me to read it for her because she can't see clearly the details in my smartphone. Owh well, come to think of it its a 'charity' event.
Myself and Fazlee did not read the event details clearly, we did not know that its a 'trail run' because we were expecting road/tarmac inside FRIM..guess we were wrong. We know it was trail soon as we saw the hill climb..what have we dot ourself into?geez..
Back to the race, I must say that they should have more official (younger ones maybe?) to guide the runners along the way. The first hill was a shocker to me because the elevation is a bit high and most of us walk/climb..then some crazy downhill where this is very dangerous for runner because of the trail with rocks and uneven route. Notice some runner fell & hurt themself after the run especially at this part. After the forest trail end, we are routed to tarmac road inside FRIM then a bit of park to the finish line.
Summary, I understand that this is a Charity Run..just hope it could be better and might improve for the next event. Its my first trail run for 2015 and fairly I didn't know that trail can be that hard and challenging.
